The Simple Woman's Day Book January 19th, 2009

FOR TODAY January 19th, 2009
Outside my window...A world that needs Jesus!
I am thinking...How Great is our God! Sing with me, How great is our God, and all will see, How great is our God!
I am thankful for...My husband
From the kitchen...Greek style yougart, honey, and sunflower seeds
I am wearing...White blouse, blue skirt, my favorite apron
I am creating... a sewing project with the zipper foot I found, it will be the first zipper I have tried to install! please pray it goes well
I am going...to ask you all to Pray for our Nation, and our Pastor who is headed back to Africa to teach the chaplins in the war the Bible (I & II Chronicles) Please pray for his safety and for the chaplins that that comprehend God's word and are able to share it with others.
I am reading... Ephesians, Psalms, Proverbs, Exodus
I am hoping... for Jesus to come back for His Bride very soon!
I am hearing...the wonderful worship music of Chris Tomlin
Around the house...A few moving projects to make the kitchen more user friendly. (You'd think that would be done after living here 9 years.)
One of my favorite things...organization, writing, teaching, worshipping Jesus, but not in that order.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Bible Study, prayer, errands, sewing, computer work, writing thank you notes.
Here is a picture for you....

Diane, a friend of mine shared a picture of some of the aprons she made for her daughters and grand daughters for this past Christmas.

These were only some of the aprons she made, I believe she said she made about 27. Along with the beautiful lined aprons, some of the little ones recieved a cook book and a wooden spoon to encourage them to use their aprons and develop their domestic talents. What a wonderful legacy to pass down to her children and grand children! Blessings in Jesus to you Diane!

I'm glad you found the zipper foot you wanted. Good luck with that zipper.

Blessings,
Mary

I need an apron.... I have one that I never returned to the deli that I used to work at...but it's not very flattering at all and definatly not the type I'm looking for.

The beautiful aprons are a wonderful idea!
My 23 year old daughter has passed on her childhood apron to her children. :)
Thank you for sharing your lovely daybook. I must post mine today.
