The Tapestry of Life

Have you read the headlines lately? Everywhere you look there is a Crisis, and everyone has a different take on how is should be handled. Concerning the Financial Crisis, the greedy will try to increase their reserves anyway they can, and the godly will try to invest in the Kingdom of God. We already know the future holds a one world economy for what looks like this very generation unless Jesus tarries longer. Since there is nothing new under the sun, we know the enemy has no new tricks. He will continue to attempt to deceive us with some of the old tricks in his bag.

Remember how the enemy tricked Eve and had her question what God said. It's still happening now... "You believe the Bible? It's just a collection of fables"

God says....
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: II Timothy 3:16

Today the enemy continues..."Your husband isn't really able to take care of you, get out and make something of yourself"

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. II Timothy 3:6-7

When walking through a crisis I choose to trust God rather than the enemy. The Family unit is in crisis and under attack, and our enemy wanders through this land like a roaring lion, just waiting for someone to devor. But rather than turning to the "wisdom" talk show hosts and radio "christian pyshcologisits, we must turn to the word of God and live it out not only for our own sakes but for the sake of our children and our grand children; it is important for those watching us as well, as our lives my be the only Bible they "read". Many of us have heard these things before, but as we walk in these last days we must live them out more than ever.
We must continue to battle in the spiritual realm for souls of our families, that we would continue to live a life that is devoted to a person, not a "cause"...and that Person is Jesus Christ!

As I live devoted to my Jesus, it may not look the same as another's devoted walk, but that's ok, we are not "cookie cutter Christians", God made us all individuals. But not to worry, if we allow God to do the leading, each and every life lead by God will inter twine like a beautiful tapestry.

We may see the back side as we wander through the crisis in this life, not seeing the finished product, but one day we will see the other side, complete and perfect.

So until Jesus returns can we trust God to "pull" us through this Tapestry of life as He sees fit, not where we "want" to go, or where our emotions want to take us?

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Amen, amen! Great post and very insightful words. Check out my post today- I came upon a book that really irritated me about lies the Bible tells women. I'd love to know your thoughts on it.

Yay- so happy you found an article exposing him. I admit, that when I see things written in a book, I think they must have been thoroughly researched. Otherwise, who would print them?! I guess that is not always the case. But it definitely startled me- especially the fact that it had some many positive reviews. :(

I remember several years ago that one of my all time favorite pastors gave a sermon using the tapestry story about how the back looks all tangled, but we will see the front some day which is wonderful and beautiful. Good Post!

Very good article. When money is tight I need all the encouragement I can to stand guard at my door and be the keeper of my home. We really are in a spiritual battle.

Thank You for these very timely thoughts,I am a firm believer in this, that for every situation in life for every question we might have , there is only one answer and that is found in the word of God. When are we as christians going to realize that man doesn't have the answers, only God?!!! His ways are perfect our ways are imperfect.Thank you again for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
