European Bread Tutorials

I grew up in a German home with German cook books. My first language was German, but as soon as I went to Elementary School and picked up more American I would answer my parents in American. By the time I was doing the baking in the home, mom would help me translate the German recipes, but after moving to my own home, I would struggle with the recipe terms and measurements and ingredients and didn't use those books much. After visiting Germany a few times as an adult there was a renewed interest in the wonderful breads the Germans would make. I have managed to pick up a few techniques and recipes that our family enjoys.
While searching for something online, I got distracted by searching for something else and soon I was searching for something else...you know how that goes, when I came across a Blog written in English, about European Breads! The Blog is about a man living in Germany who is experimenting with all the different kinds of German flours to make breads., complete with pictorial tutorials!
So if you are a beginner baker or more advanced there is something for you at
Aehrlich Gesacht
